Emerge™ Fractional Laser for Skin Rejuvenation

How does it work?
Emerge™ skin resurfacing treatment uses laser micro-beams to create areas of treated tissue surrounded by untreated tissue. The body’s healing process then rebuilds the treated and damaged tissue with collagen and elastin, restoring the skin for a healthier look.

Pre-treatment advice
Prior to treatment please let us know if you have recently been in the sun. We require a test patch to be performed 24hrs prior to the treatment. We also ask that you avoid any acid based products including retinol, glycolic and salyclic acid for 1 week prior to the treatment (sometimes this can be up to 2 weeks for certain products).
How many treatments will I need?
A course of 3-6 treatments are usually recommended to achieve the best results which will be completed every 4 weeks apart.
Aftercare
We ask that you avoid going into warm or sunny climates for 2 weeks after the treatment and wear SPF daily. Your practitioner will go through individual aftercare recommendations on product usage but again we may advise to avoid acids for a period of time after treatment. Please also avoid the gym, saunas and steam rooms for up to 3 days after your treatment.
Micro needling
How does it work?
Micro needling also referred to as Collagen Induction therapy (CIT) is a treatment that introduces a series of fine sharp needles into the skin to create many microscopic channels. Those micro injuries prompt the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production, filling in fine lines, plumping the skin and contributing to a younger look.
Consultation and treatment
During your consultation, the areas to be treated will be assessed. Aftercare requirements will be discussed with you before scheduling your next appointment.
A small handheld device with single use sterile micro needles is manually applied to the skin at the same time a serum is applied. The micro needles create tiny holes within your skin, which allows the active ingredients in the serum to penetrate deeper down and work from the inside out.
This treatment can be performed on all skin types! As this is an overall rejuvenation treatment it is well suited to many skin concerns.
What areas of my body can be treated?
This is a treatment for the whole face. A course of 3-6 sessions are recommended for the best results. Treatment time gaps should be every 2 weeks.
Pre-treatment advice
Prior to the treatment, please advise the clinic of any recent sun exposure, or application of fake tan. Avoid using retinol, glycolic or salycylic acid products for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
Aftercare
The skin will be flushed immediately after treatment however this will subside after a few hours. Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks after the treatment and use an SPF daily. Avoid sauna’s, steam rooms, swimming and the gym for up to 72 hours after treatment. Avoid using acid based products for up to 1 week after treatment. Mineral make up can be applied after having the treatment performed.
